This 1 day workshop is all about developing awareness about the power of the senses. We will explain some of the recent neuroscience, how sensory integration is inherently trauma informed, and how to consider the person, in their environment and the activities that can support health and wellbeing. You will experience and explore Sensory Ladders, Sensory Spiders and Sensory Grids, and how these can support how you think about and support those in your care. You will be challenged to think about different ways of working with individual clients from creating innovative needs led whole ward programmes to what you do each day to care for and support clients with neurodiversity, trauma and other mental health difficulties.
Our bespoke workshops are also suitable for those working with people with all levels of cognitive ability including for people with Autism, Sensory Integration Difficulties, ADHD and Dyspraxia. Contact us for more details.
